Of course you’re seeing in the news every day about Putin’s war against Ukraine. What you probably don’t know is that citizens of Belarus, formerly part of the Soviet Union, are helping the Ukrainians fight against Putin’s army.
The Belarusians are woefully under-equipped. All they have are guns, but not all the equipment needed: armored vests, boots, etc.
A Paper Source advertiser and attendee of our conventions, Pavel Sakurets, is raising money to take equipment to the Belarusian soldiers.
He has a fascinating story.
He came to the U.S. from Belarus in 2000 for the summer to make some money working in an amusement park and to improve his English. He was 20, had $50 in his pocket, no family or friends in the U.S.
He married a Ukrainian nurse. He became a homebuilder and got involved in real estate sales. He is very successful, living the American Dream.
He sent me an email last month: “I’m going to Warsaw June 22nd for a third time to deliver vests, boots, and other equipment to Belarusians that are volunteers fighting Putin’s army in Ukraine, fighting there without any equipment
- only guns - and I brought a lot of stuff to them already.”
Pavel had registered for the 2022 Paper Source convention in mid-May, but was unable to attend. He wrote me and said, "I was really looking forward to it, but I have to cancel. I’m flying to Warsaw with equipment for the
Belarusian soldiers."
His charitable foundation is raising money to buy that equipment. Please watch his video.
