Yes, times have changed...
 
    No longer can we make money by sitting around and waiting for the phone to ring. 
 
Order-Takers Will Fail In This Market....Without A Doubt
 
    Websites and blogs are helpful and important. I have both and use them. A website does
place you on the Internet superhighway -- yet in the midst of a gazillion competitors.
 
    A good web developer can help you with a work-around to differentiate yourself from the
voluminous competition, but admittedly -- and thankfully -- the majority of that competition
just  waits for the phone to ring.
 
    Direct mail is great, and I use it. Your phone will ring, but it requires lots of hard-earned
cash and time to develop a phone talk technique that builds rapport and sells. Most note sellers
will volunteer that they have received "50 letters from your competitors" just to throw you off
guard.
 
    And that's okay, because a good direct mail marketer can guide you through the work-
around techniques that'll differentiate you from the competition. But admittedly (and again,
thankfully), the majority of your competition just sits around and waits for the phone to ring.
