If you own Texas property with damage from Hurricane Harvey you need to act TODAY to protect your insurance.  Tomorrow, September 1, a new law goes into effect that curtails the rights of property owners when dealing with their insurance companies.  Claims must be in writing (email is sufficient) and dated before September 1.  If you have several different insurance policies with one broker, notice to that broker is sufficient.
