Warren Introduces Nationwide Eviction Moratorium Bill

Senator Elizabeth has introduced a bill that would extend a nationwide eviction moratorium as the current eviction protections in response to the coronavirus pandemic near expiration.

Apartment List, a rental listing platform, reported that its national rent index fell by 0.1% between May and June. Moreover, the index has fallen 0.3% since March, when the number of COVID-19 cases began ramping up in the U.S.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the structure of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is unconstitutional, determining that its head must be removable at the will of the president. The decision reduces the power of the agency, the brainchild of Elizabeth Warren, and is a victory for business groups.

Your identity can be bought for as little as $1,192.58, a new study from Reviews.org shows. And while you may be at more risk for identity theft depending on where you live, the danger doesn’t necessarily break down into regional categories, the study notes.

Ever since the 2008 lows, real estate markets have continued to rebound and property owners have seen prices increase. Today, there are six areas in particular considered to be among the hottest markets across the country.
